Who are Creative Portraits?
ABOUT US
Hi, I'm Steve
the owner and lead photographer here at Creative Portraits. With over 15 years as a professional phototgrapher, I've seen and photographed pretty much everything – from the tiny toes of newborns to the poised elegance of dancers from our local dance schools. Every day's different, and that's just how I like it.
In this job, it's all about the mix. One day I'm capturing a family's laughter, the next, a pet's quirky antics, or a dancer's perfect pirouette. It's this variety that keeps me on my toes and makes each photo shoot special. The best bit? Seeing the look on my clients' faces when they see their photos. It's more than just a picture; it's a memory, a moment in time that they'll treasure.
Here at the studio, we keep things laid-back and friendly. A good portrait tells a story, and to do that, you need to feel relaxed, almost like you're just having a chat with a friend. That's the atmosphere we aim for – a place where you can be yourself, and we capture your story, your way.
If you're curious, why not pop in for a chat? The kettle's always on, and we're always up for meeting new people and hearing their stories and ideas. Hope to see you soon!
I'm Kirsty,
I am the assistant photographer at Creative Portraits. I am lucky enough to be able to indulge my love of all things baby and children through my work at the studio.
As a Newborn specialist, I have undergone endless hours of training. Not only has the training covered aspects that would be obvious to you, like posing babies, set design, camera techniques but things that are less obvious. For instance I have been certified in Paediatric First Aid and understand how to keep babies safe and comfortable.
I share Steve's passion for creating beautiful art. I am mesmerised by watching babies grow from the first time we meet them at a few days old, through the sitting and crawling stages to their first birthday and beyond.
I can't wait to meet you and your fabulous family.
